1870 Gray Fox Bounty From Kentucky
The document reads as follows:
"State of Kentucky Adair County. This day J. A. Bailey produced to the undersigned clerk of the Adair County court the head of a gray fox and upon oath states that he caught and killed the fox, from which said head was were taken in the county aforesaid on the 15th day of February 1870 and there from took the oath required by revised statutes in such cases and I certify that I destroyed said head given under my hand this 12th day of March 1870. J.W. Butler CACC."
