Now here we have another truly rare item. This glass oven lamp lense came out of the oven of an old 60's (possibly 70's) vintage Hotpoint waist high (countertop) range. The range sat on the counter (usually in a lowered level from the actual countertop so the cooktop would be countertop height) and the oven perched above it. I do not know what Hotpoint called their version, but I believe a similar range in the Frigidair line was called either a "Flair", or "Capri". This particular range the cover came out of was a model number 107RHWV531J. Included with the cover will be the model number tag shown in the picture, if I can still find it. The range was electric. This Lens (cover - shield) is in excellent shape - nearly perfect, there is just one small scratch in the glass. The glass shield hooked into the lamp opening on one side by means of a tab molded into the lens on one side, and screwed to the oven interior by a holed tab on the other side. This should be evident in the picture. The falnge on the glass is curved on one side to fit the contour of the oven at the top - it was mounted quite close to the top, and this allows it to fit he curve of the oven liner. The lamp in this particular oven, I believe was mounted on the right hand upper side near the back of the oven. This Lens, I suspect, may fit other models of this same vintage. there is not much question in my mind that this part is no longer available, and very hard to come by if you need one.
