Here you have Henry in a well-tailored suit, hand on hip,
commenting on everything in this scan.
Henry: "Here you have Singer Sewing Machines trade card, from
the American Naval Ship series, this one featuring the U.S. Cruiser
Charleston" a handsome card dated 1898 by Koerner & Hayes.
(Handwriting in pencil on the back.)Singer was located in Dallas,
Texas. (unissued card). Good-very good, besides the scrawling,
card may have been slightly trimmed at bottom.
Henry also says, "Looke here at these fine horses! another trade card
out of Buffalo, New York advertising Fairman & Gillam's wonderful
Pianos, Organs and Sewing Machines, for the store in Olean, N.Y."
What else: a drum cut out trimed, with off-beat drum stick, a deerm
and a little 1880's trade card with a little fella and his little dog (something
munched out the left hand upper corner. Beige and aqua blue-toned.
HENRY himself is very dapper and stands 4 3/4 inches tall. He is
very well trimmed and could be used to advertise anything! Color is
like new. (He is printed on thin paper and is a cut out from a Hood's
Sasparailla advertisement or trade card slip. He even has a pink flower
in his lapel! What a sweet guy.
