An original Civil War document.  This document says it is a special requisition for eight blankets.  At the bottom it is dated July 16, 1861 from Cairo.  It also mentions J M gill Quartermaster for the 8th Regiment Illinois Volunteers who is said to have received the blankets.

The document is in very good condition, with a small hole at the top left section.
