Vintage Black/African American Hair Straightener or Hot Comb

I'm not exactly sure what this is, but I'm assuming it's one of the two.

The comb part is either bronze or brass, probably bronze.

The black handle part is wood.

There is a switch to turn it on and off while it's plugged in.

This works and gets hot!
