Vintage Fancy Embroidered piece for toss pillow 16" sq.

You are bidding on a very old 16" square piece that is embroidered with the twisted one strand of floss, not the 6 strand embroidery floss we are accustomed to seeing in vintage pieces.  I have never before seen anything quite like the work in this piece....hours and hours of hand work.  When I bought this piece, I  had such grand plans for it! The work is intricate and absolutely beautiful. I do not quite know how to describe it. It is worked on a coarse weave ecru colored fabric in shades of  pink/green. The stitches are satin stitch and absolutely covered with openwork.The center is a large square, all open work, smaller squares of open work surrounding this large square, framed with rows of satinstitch lines and satin stitch flowers. When I purchased this piece from a women from Australia, my plans were to back this piece with a high grade piece of muslin and cover a small foot stool. I even purchased the stool. I intended to remove the hinges of the lid and the backing which held the cover and cover this stool lid by stapling the new cover in place, replacing the backing and hinges. Would have made an absolutely georgeous foot stool with very little effort but  I never got around to creating this masterpiece, which is not unusual for me  and plan #2 was to use the same high grade muslin for backing and make a toss pillow for my Victorian formal living room. I never got around to creating that project either. This is such a lovely, unusual piece with unbelievably intricate hand work, I am hoping some industrious buyer will buy this piece and create one of my ideas for this piece I never got around to making. This would truly be a beautiful addition to any Victorian formal living room or bedroom.
